We are an Eco School and are working towards renewing our status for the third time.

Our Action Plan includes 3 main points:

1. Keep a global viewpoint: continue our links with the school in Kenya
2. Commit to analysing our energy use data
3. Continue to include gardening as part of a broad and balanced curriculum to encourage biodiversity

The aim of Eco Club is to make Holly Trees the ‘best it can be' ! We look after the school surroundings, both inside and out. All our ideas come directly from the children and are supported by the school council. We have run assemblies and initiated and judged poster competitions. Some of our projects have included; maintaining allotments, planting saplings, litter picking along with leading paper free days. We have encouraged the school to be mindful of how much electricity and water we use and to recycle our rubbish.
