We are a group–made up of mainly parents–that aims to raise funds to benefit the whole school, provide value for money and a balance of provision for each curriculum area. We meet on a regular basis to discuss ideas and organise fundraising events.
Larra Scammell is currently Chair of the Fundraisers. The other elected roles are Vice-Chair (Amy Roberts), Secretary (Claire Moorey) and Treasurer (Christine Richardson). Elections for the elected roles are held on a yearly basis at our Annual General Meeting in October. If you would like to contact any of the above team, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please read our Holly Trees Fundraisers Mission Statement and Terms of Reference on the link below
Over the years, the fundraising team have organised a wide variety of events including Fireworks Night, inflatables days, quiz nights, jazz concerts, Christmas fayres and summer fetes, discos, cake sales and non-school uniform days. Some events are more profitable than others, but raising money is not always the sole objective of the fundraising team. Improving relationships and partnerships between parents and teachers and between home and school also play a vital part in why we organise events.
Some of the projects we have funded include the music studio, all-weather pitch, outdoor classroom, library bookshelves and tables, interactive whiteboards, dictionaries, fiction books, digital cameras, new bee keeping suits and tools for the gardening club.

Use of the site may also introduce you to on-line discounts.

The more people who can get involved the better; we can only go forward with your support.
“As a parent I wanted to help the school without committing to too much time, and be able to sneak a view of my kids in the classroom or the hall, so being a regular fundraiser achieved this – it’s also great for making friends with other parents.”
“I have made friends with parents who have children in different classes – great for them too when they first go in the big playground where there are familiar faces.”
“I think the children enjoy the fact that their mum is involved. They like staying behind after school and being in the hall playing with the other children while we are setting up or clearing up after an event. I think it makes them proud that they are also involved, other than just attending school.”
“Joining the Fundraisers was probably one of the best things I have done at this school; not just for the fundraising and social side – it also brings you into contact with the teachers on another level which I believe makes school life a lot easier.”
