Here at Holly Trees Primary School, we aim to be a community where everyone is treated fairly and with respect. We take our legal duties on equality very seriously.
As part of our duty, we are required to publish information on equality alongside equality objectives, which show how we plan to reduce or remove inequalities or disadvantages.

Key Objectives
School Objective 1: To recognise and celebrate, through our curriculum and learning environments, the languages, cultures, religions, and races which represent our pupils, staff and families.
School Objective 2: To ensure all children participate in or are encouraged to participate in school clubs; so that all groups are represented and that there is no discrimination or imbalance within the group
Governor Objective: The Governing Board aim to support the school’s senior leadership team in building a culture which champions equality and inclusion. This will be achieved through exploring, monitoring and assessing the impact of the school’s culture, curriculum (including personal and social education), and pastoral provision on pupils’ wellbeing and educational outcomes. The Governing Board will engage with staff, children, parents and the wider community to ensure that the values of equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of every decision.
