We are a group of parents of Holly Trees pupils that want to help make school an even better place for the children. We aim to organise fun activities for pupils and families, while raising money to benefit and support the school and community.

Throughout recent challenging times, we’ve supported families by organising low cost pre-loved uniform sales and memorable childhood experiences such as the circus and fireworks displays at competitive prices, while donating money to school for books, music rooms, and playground equipment, among other things.

We meet on a regular basis to discuss ideas and organise fun filled fundraising events for our school.  Our current elected committee are:

Past fundraising events

Over the years, the fundraising team have organised a wide variety of events including fireworks displays, wine and gin tastings, Santa’s grotto and gift sales, quiz nights, inflatables days, pizza making evenings, discos, circus visits, donut/cake sales and non-school uniform days.

Some events are more profitable than others, but raising money is not always the sole objective of the fundraising team. Improving relationships between home and school also plays a vital part in why we organise events.

Projects

Some of the projects we have funded include the music studio, all-weather pitch, outdoor classroom, library furniture, Early Years play equipment, interactive whiteboards, digital cameras, new bee keeping suits and tools for the gardening club. We also donate an ongoing termly payment to help refresh school books.

Get involved

As a small group of parent and carer volunteers, we are always grateful for another pair of hands. From helping out on a stall during an event, or supervising a school disco, to attending meetings planning upcoming events or joining the committee, every bit of help is gratefully received!
